Air Quality Risk Assessments

Risk Assessment

What Is An Air Quality Risk Assessment?

The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (CoSHH) Regulations 2002 requires employers to control any substances which have the potential to harm their employees’ health and, where possible, prevent or reduce any exposure to these hazardous substances. Our air quality risk assessment service keeps you compliant with these regulations.

Substances monitored by an air quality risk assessment include:

  • Dust, fibreglass, asbestos and gases from building materials
  • Gases, vapours, odours from furniture, carpets and paints
  • Toxic vapours, volatile organic compounds from workplace cleansers, solvents, pesticides, disinfectants or glues

At ELAS we offer a comprehensive occupational health service to help you address any occupational safety risks, keeping you compliant with all current legislation and helping you maintain and operate a safe and productive working environment.

Our occupational hygiene consultants will assess the risks in your workplace then provide you with a report outlining the airborne hazards your employees are exposed to, as well as a programme of appropriate control measures to make sure workplace exposure limits are not exceeded. We will continue to assist you in reducing the potential hazards, and advise on how to avoid any further issues.
