Fingerprint drug testing is the revolutionary new way of drug screening your employees. Long gone are the days of urine samples in toilet cubicles with a chaperone having to stand outside (awkward!). Our fingerprint drug test simply involves your employee’s finger and our drug screen cartridge and reader.
How does it work?
Whenever we ingest something our bodies metabolise the product to produce secondary products that are detectable in urine, blood, saliva and sweat. Traditional urine drug tests often use urine and saliva to screen for drug metabolites. Both these methods are quite invasive and time consuming for both the employee being tested as well as the tester. That is why our fingerprint drug testing uses the least invasive bodily secretion we have – sweat.
Our unique fingerprint drug screening technique checks for potential evidence of drug use by screening fingerprint sweat for drug metabolites. Your employee simply needs to place their finger on our drug screen cartridge for seconds. We will then analyse the cartridge with our drug screen reader and will provide you with the end result in under 10 minutes!
If an employee’s result comes back negative; happy days! There is no evidence that your employee has taken drugs recently. However, if the result presents a non-negative, the results will be sent to our laboratory for further analysis.

What the legislation says
Misuse of Drugs Act (1971) it’s an offence for an employer to knowingly permit the use of drugs or alcohol on their premises. The Health & Safety at Work Act (1974) also states it’s the employer’s responsibility to protect the health, safety and well being of anyone who is on your premises. This can be an employee, visitor or member of the public. Failure to abide to either of these pieces of legislation means you can be liable if an incident occur. It therefore makes business sense to incorporate proactive measures into your business that reduce the chances of your employees being under the influence whilst at work!
