Home | ELAS Service Adaptations In Light Of COVID-19 We’ve Evolved Our Services In Light Of Social Distancing Measures COVID-19 is showing no signs of disappearing quickly. The same can be said with social distancing measures that are designed to keep us safe and well. The Government is simply unsure as to how long social distancing is going to last. With that in mind, we have temporarily adapted some of our service offerings to ensure the health, safety and well being of your team as well as our own. Our services may look and feel a little different, but we can assure you that as an ELAS client, you will still be receiving the high standard of service you have come to expect from us. We’re here to help protect and support your business so you can ensure your business is running at its most efficient and profitable; something which will be paramount when getting your business up and running again. These are unprecedented times and we’re here to support you as much as possible.
Find out more about our temporary changes below.
Health & Safety We initially paused our on-site health & safety visits at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, our team have worked hard to find a solution where we can still visit your premises to conduct our site visits. Even though your business may have been temporarily closed, there is still a responsibility to adhere to health, safety and fire safety legislation. Please be assured our team will be wearing thorough PPE as well as adhering to any Government guidance should we visit your site.
Employee Training Ensuring your team’s qualifications and knowledge is as up to date as possible is still as important as ever. The majority of our classroom training courses can now be held over our video-conferencing software. Or if you prefer, we also have a wide-range of e-learning courses that can be used as refresher training or a ‘stop gap’ until on-site courses are up and running.
Health Surveillance Ensuring your employees are fit and healthy for work matters more than ever. The HSE have released new guidance to ensure medical health surveillance can continue. It applies where employees are undergoing periodic review under several sets of health & safety regulations. When it comes to health assessments relating to COSHH, asbestos, ionising radiation, lead, noise and vibration; we are now able to offer a remote paper/online health assessment to your employees needing surveillance. If the assessments report no issues, your employee’s existing fitness for work certification can be extended 3 months temporarily (or until further guidance has been released). If the assessment uncovers any issues then we will organise a telephone or video referral.
New Business Consultations We’re offering free video consultations to every UK business that needs help, support or advice throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Our video consultations will also provide you with a jargon-free introduction into the ELAS Group as well as how we can help your business.
