

Safety Awareness:
This course is the subject on the basic requirements of health and safety as a start in any workplace. It covers the likes of the law, the regulations on Risk Assessments, CoSHH Assessments, Workplace and Housekeeping, Work Equipment, Electricity, First Aid, Fire Safety, PPE, Display Screen Equipment and Manual Handling. Throughout the course duration it is open to question and answers from the group. A DVD is shown on “An Introduction to Health and Safety” to support the presentation. A question and answer paper is completed with the group at the end.
***At a request it can include interaction on Risk and CoSHH Assessments so that the group carry out this process but will increase the scheduled.
Risk Assessment Training:
This course covers the subject on how to carry out a risk assessment with a small introduction on the law around risk assessments. The risk assessment process encompasses the risks of the Workplace and Housekeeping, Work Equipment, Electricity, First Aid, Fire Safety, PPE, Display Screen Equipment and Manual Handling. Throughout the course it is open to question and answers from the group and a DVD is shown on “Risk Assessment”. It is also interactive on Risk Assessments so that the group carry out at least this process. At least 5 risk assessments are carried out with the group on their choice. A question and answer paper is completed with the group at the end.
Food Safety Awareness:
This covers the BASICS on food safety and the requirements of the law. The course encompasses the “importance of food safety”, “hazards of food that include physical, chemical and biological hazards”, “Illnesses from food”, “High Risk Foods”, Time & Temperature”, “Personal Hygiene”, “Premises and Equipment”, Cleaning and Disinfection”, “Food Pests”, “Production to Safe Storage”, “Preparing and Presenting Food”, and “Food Safety Control. Throughout the course it is open to question and answers from the group and a DVD is shown on “Food Hygiene” A question and answer paper is completed with the group at the end.
CoSHH Assessment Training:
This course covers the subject on how to carry out a CoSHH assessment with a small introduction on the law around the CoSHH assessment. The CoSHH assessment process covers MSDS “Material Safety Data Sheets”, substances purchased such as cleaning materials or chemicals and substances that derive from an activity such as fume, dust, vapour and biological issues in the workplace, PPE is discussed as a means of preventing the risks around CoSHH. Throughout the course it is open to question and answers from the group and a DVD is shown on “CoSHH Assessment”. It is also interactive on CoSHH Assessments so that the group carry out this process. At least 5 CoSHH assessments are carried out with the group on their choice. A question and answer paper is completed with the group at the end.
Fire Safety Awareness:
This covers fire safety that include how fires start, fire alarm systems, signage, fire detection, fire assembly points, evacuation routes, procedures, emergency lighting, fire procedures, fire plans, fire extinguishers and use of, combustible materials, flammable liquids, ignition sources. Throughout the course it is open to question and answer from the group and a DVD is shown on “Fire Safety Essentials” Interactively a basic fire risk assessment is completed with the group. A question and answer paper is completed with the group at the end.
