The level 3 first aid at work training course provides the comprehensive set of practical skills needed by first aiders in most workplaces to become a confident first aider at work.

Level 3 first aid at work training course content

The content of the course will cover how to deal with the following:
• The role of the first aider
• Managing an emergency
• Communication and casualty care
• Asthma
• Bleeding (minor and severe)
• Bone, muscle and joint injuries
• Burns and scalds
• Chest pains (including heart attack)
• Choking (adult)
• Eye injuries
• Fainting
• Head injuries
• Health and safety (first aid) regulations
• Low blood sugar
• Poisoning
• Resuscitation (adult CPR)
• Seizures (adult)
• Severe allergic reaction
• Shock
• Spinal injuries
• Stroke
• Unconscious casualty

Level 3 first aid at work training course duration

The level 3 first aid at work training course is delivered over a period of three days by one of our highly qualified and experienced instructors, in an interactive and engaging manner

Assessment and certification

Previously, students who attended our first aid courses were required to pass a final practical assessment. This has been replaced with continuous observation by the trainer and written assessments. Successful candidates receive a certificate, valid for three years
